Overview
Shaw Gibbs is a top 40 accounting firm, providing clients with a full range of accounting, tax, payroll and specialist advisory services. It has grown organically and through acquisition from its base in Oxford and now has 16 offices across central and southern England, with 52 partners and 610 people serving over 15,000 SMEs and corporates as well as numerous private clients.
The management team is led by experienced industry operator Peter O’Connell, who has been CEO since 2016. He is supported by Angus MacGregor, CPO, Campbell Smith, CFO and Kevan Leggett, Chair.
Investment strategy
The UK accountancy market is highly fragmented and represents a compelling buy-and-build opportunity as regulation, succession challenges and the need to invest in growth is driving consolidation. Apiary is supporting Shaw Gibbs to expand its regional presence through selective acquisitions.
